About Moira

Behavioral health programs do hard, important work, and most of them are stretched thin. We can’t fix every gap in how care is delivered today. We built Moira to fix three of them.

1. Losing touch after discharge

The weeks after someone leaves treatment carry the most risk, and that is usually when programs lose contact. Follow-up falls to busy staff who make calls whenever they find time. Moira sends scheduled text check-ins from your program’s dedicated number. When someone says they are struggling, your team is alerted right away. Problems surface in days instead of weeks.

2. Outcomes that are hard to prove

Payers and accreditors increasingly want evidence that treatment works. Most programs don’t have the data to show it. Every Moira check-in and standard measure (PHQ-9, GAD-7, BAM and more) turns into outcomes reporting your team can actually use.

3. Follow-up that isn’t HIPAA-safe

Too often, follow-up happens from personal phones and spreadsheets. We built Moira for HIPAA compliance from the ground up. We sign a Business Associate Agreement with every program, and every vendor that handles patient data is under a BAA. All data is stored in the US and encrypted. Patient information is masked by default, and every access to it is approved and logged.

What else changes

Less strain on your team. Routine check-ins run on their own, so staff only call the people who need a call. Alumni and aftercare staff spend their time on real conversations instead of voicemails. Based on our calculator’s assumptions, programs can spend up to about 70% less time on follow-up.

People come back, and they send others. Alumni who stay connected are more likely to return when they need care again, and more likely to refer people they know.

Everything in one place. Moira works with your EMR in both directions. Discharges flow in, and check-in data flows back to the chart.*

Moira was built in collaboration with behavioral health and alumni leaders, for residential, PHP and IOP programs.
